At Last Some Sanity On The Home Front

I really like the recommendations of the government's advisory panel on child care. Extending benefits to parents to allow them to stay home with young children is a good one and very family friendly. Such an extension would ease the pressure on daycares and parents alike. One would guess that if I like the proposals, the government would not. One would be correct. It seems the Tories are going to let these proposals quietly die in the corner. They love to talk about being family friendly. They just don't want to pay the price that comes with actually being family friendly.
