The policy elites, in the developed world, are seized with a deficit mania that crowds out the reality of an unemployment crisis. This mania threatens the world's people with years of needless pain.

False Start
I agree with Chantal Hebert. Ontario still sees itself as the economic heart of Canada. Ontarians want to know how the parties are going to get that heart beating again. EI reform (which I agree is absolutely necessary) is not a solution to Ontario's problem, so the Liberals (and the NDP) should not be surprised it is not harvesting them votes. Until someone comes up with a bright idea to save its economy, Ontario is going to be up for grabs.
