Shorter Jeffrey Simpson
You all know I hate the idea of anyone but the two big parties getting anywhere close to power in this country. Well, listen to my latest scheme to cut 30% of the population out of decision making.

To be fair, the Aussie system would at least be a step forward from what we've currently got. If it was that or the status quo, I'd take it.
ReplyDeleteMy problem isn't with the Aussie system per se, it is with Simpson's attitude toward PR. His disdain for any system that would include the smaller parties in policy making, really gets up my nose. Like the big parties have all the answers and have done such a fabulous job of governing.
