I'd enjoy seeing the Tories move right -- but when they did that in a measured way with the November 2008 economic update, they almost got turfed.
In a minority parliament, one does what one has to, in order to survive. When one does not -- well, there goes political corpses like Joe Clark or Paul Martin.

You are right about Coyne's policy leanings, but I agree with him that fear on all sides is causing do-nothingism.
