My friends, love is better than anger. Hope is better than fear. Optimism is better than despair. So let us be loving, hopeful and optimistic. And we'll change the world. Jack Layton
Some of the comments on that article are depressing. They claim that the article must be a lie - it implies that Dear Leader's love for all things military wasn't enough to help that soldier. How can a serious problem get solved when some find it politically inconvenient to recognize that the problem even exists?
yeah, some of those comments really take the cake. The military does all they can for everyone, the soldier was a loser, it's all anti-harper bullshit from the reporter (even the quotes from the family members). One fuckwad writes "They as where was Veterans Affairs? Where was the family?"As if the family is supposed to be able to provide expert counselling on post-combat PTSD. As if they're supposed to pay for it out of their pockets, after it was the military that sent him there. Here's one for yeez:http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/story/2011/03/08/calgary-veterans-affairs-charter-pension-reform.html
