My friends, love is better than anger. Hope is better than fear. Optimism is better than despair. So let us be loving, hopeful and optimistic. And we'll change the world. Jack Layton
Liberals are really losing their minds (see the spittle-soaked comments, here). And I say this as someone who is probably going to vote strategically Liberal in my own riding this time.

That is the Liberal default position. If we can merge the parties (with our leader in charge of course) then things will be rosy. Thanks, but no thanks. If they want to talk PR. I am listening. Otherwise they can save their breath.
A "majority" with 38% of the vote is illegitimate, in my eyes. It was under Chretien and it (god forbid) will be under Harper. No one will ever convince me otherwise.
I wonder if liberal supporters will ever realize that getting angry at the NDP because the Conservatives are stealing their votes is a losing proposition.
So if current trends hold, no happy merger of the centre-left this fall?

ReplyDeleteYes it is a bit bizarre. It is sort of like the wingnut idea that same sex marriage causes infidelity among straight couples.
ReplyDeleteHeh. I always wondered what would happen to a party that usually campaigned by whichever way the wind blew, were it ever to be caught in a whirlwind.
