ReplyDeleteIncidentally, threatening a lawsuit is the last thing Harper should be doing. From a purely political perspective, it's about as smart as Martin's calling of the Gomery Inquiry. If the lawsuit goes ahead, it will keep this story in the news, and one might say that all publicity is good publicity, in the sense that it ensures that no one forgets about it.
Of course, if the lawsuit is withdrawn will have been pointless. But if it proceeds, the spectacle won't be altogether worth it for the government.
